Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"I had dinner here tonight w my parents. W had a fish dish. Siakap. Had sotong goreng kunyit, kerabu telur masin and kangkung goreng belacan plus their rm1 sup for my Dad and pulut mangga for dessert. OhmyGod I'm so coming again the next time I'm back in Malaysia. Everything was worth the money we spent. Only took photos of the lovely pulut mangga. Ps: ask for mangga manis"
"sedap juga masak²nya , tasty food byk restaurant still closed so we tried here . Not bad choice reasonable price"
"Went here a couple months back. The main food served is your standard seafood, so expect traditional stuff like sotong goreng tepung (deep-fried cuttlefish) and siakap (sea bass). We took the siakap masak pedas together with 2 sets of sotong goreng tepung. The siakap was lovely, and the flavor was rich. It quite spicy too! There was a lot of meat on the fish as well. As for the sotong goreng tepung, it was covered in spiced flour, so it looked a bit like cekodok (fritters) but the taste is amazing. It was so amazing that we had to buy another set. The Tom Yam was exquisitely spicy as well, so order yourself a Teh Tarik or Milo Ais to wash off the spice. Price-wise it's affordable. A lot of people come here either from nearby Kampung or staffs from Genting Highland. So the food is clearly popular among the locals. Make sure to visit here any time you go to Janda Baik!"
"food arrived fast after ordering ! but we went there when they werent alot of people so the service was fast, soon after we got our food there was another 5 family who came in and ordered but it took them so long to get their food!!! so please come early so the service will be faster! overral food was yummy and fulfilling!!"
"This is traditional malay restaurant, enjoy the good food than the environment. Most of the meals are delicious and the price is affordable."
"Wanted to get the set ikan siakap RM55 but the fish was sold out. Telur bungkus is top 3 in my books, tomyam campur is superb, kailan tauchu is 8/10. Fast service with a smile. A bit tough to park but at least they have a limited parking space for 5 - 6 cars."
"Had a long wait since dinner patrons were full, the table that ordered before us finished their food and only then we received our food, server didnt even apologies for the long wait. Overall food was good and portion are big, just their vege are too salty and telur dadar was too oily. When make payment, cashier didnt even smile or say thank you, such a pity."
"A good place where you can have your dinner or early dinner, also recommended for tea-time. The restaurant is a common malay style decoration serve Thai food located at village area. They serve variety of ala-carte food including manggo and durian pulut. Clean and friendly staff."
